Enquiry based learning

  • Passport to the world – developing our knowledge about places and their locations.
  • We have learnt about the different types of weather, weather in different countries and how weather affects our everyday lives.
  • Picture This! – We have learnt about art from the Victorian era and compared our lifestyles with those of the Victorians.  We have learnt about the changes made to the UK during the Victorian era
  • The Final Frontier – We have learnt about the earth’s orbit, the moon and the sun.  We have investigated the different planets of our solar system and written space adventure stories. We have learnt about the history of exploration, comparing Christopher Columbus with Neil Armstrong.
  • Dungeons and Dragons –We have learnt about who lived in castles, why they were built and the different features of castles. We have also learnt about the Battle Of Hastings.
  • Mini beasts – We have found out the names of different mini beasts and the common features of different groups of mini beast
