At West Hill we have a member of staff who coordinates the provision for more able pupils. Pupils are identified as more able in a range of different areas including:
- Logico-mathematical and scientific
We ensure that children who are identified as more able are challenged by differentiating the curriculum.
There are Challenge Boxes in each classroom which are used to extend our More Able pupils’ learning at every opportunity.
We currently have additional teaching resource in Years 1 & 2 to support More Able pupils’ progress. In Early Years there are also three members of staff who work to ensure that there are high levels of differentiation for our More Able Pupils.
