Secondary Transfer

In 2018 our pupils have transferred to:

Ark Putney, Ashcroft Academy, Burntwood, Chestnut Grove Academy, Ernest Bevin College, Harris Academy Battersea, Ricards Lodge High School, Richmond Park Academy, Saint John Bosco College, Southfields Academy and Ursuline High School Wimbledon.

Our aim is to help your child make a successful transition from primary to secondary school. A meeting is organised in the summer term of Year 5 (July) in preparation for the start of the application process in the Autumn term (September) in Year 6.

In the Autumn term a follow up meeting is held to share with parents, the Borough wide application process, the application booklet and to arrange 1:1 meetings with the head teacher to discuss individual secondary school choices.

In Year 6 pupils follow a transition programme delivered by the learning mentor and Year 6 teacher to enable children and families to be prepared to manage the transition to secondary school successfully.

All relevant information for applying for a secondary school in Wandsworth is included in the ‘Choosing a Wandsworth Secondary School’ Booklet.
