Meeting with teachers

At West Hill we have parents’ evenings towards the end of each term. This gives parents the opportunity to look at their child’s learning and speak with the class teacher. At the end of the school year parents will be provided with a detailed written report that describes the progress their child has made along with their end of year attainment in the different subjects they have been learning.

At the beginning of each new school year each class has a meet the teacher meeting for parents where they discuss aspects of the curriculum, homework and class trips. Teacher will also provide you with information about how you can help with your child’s learning at home. This is also a great opportunity for parents to ask any questions about the school year ahead.

If you wish to discuss your child’s learning at any other point during the year please make an appointment to meet with your class teacher by speaking with them in the playground before or after school or alternatively you can leave a message for them with the office staff.

At West Hill the teachers meet the children and parents in the playground every morning at 8:45 am.

At the end of the day the teachers stay with the children in the playground until they are collected.
